The Current Situation
The Short Version
We're at a standstill. For a long time, conversations were ongoing to try to find a way to make EV chargers work in Whisperwood, but recently the board has decided to stop all discussion on EV charging in the neighborhood indefinitely.
The homeowner remains ready to reengage whenever the board is willing to explore the issue further, but there are currently no indications that they are likely to change course.
Why have talks stopped?
At the community's annual membership meeting on June 2nd, the board presented information related to the costs associated with EV charging, and opened the floor for homeowner comments. They have reported to us that the feedback at that meeting was decisive and unanimous, indicating that the homeowners do not want EV chargers in Whisperwood, especially if it would require a significant cost to the HOA (for the Feasibility Study).
